The Intermission

(and here we go again)

The Intermission (and here we go again) explores personal performances that exist within a performance. With the artistic production serving as a metaphor for social experience, six artists journey together to establish their individual sanctuaries while blurring dramaturgy with reality. The work asks: at the end of the day, aren't we all putting on a show?

Weightless

Our personalities, mentalities, and emotions are molded by those we choose to spend time with. When someone new emerges within our orbit, we intrinsically shift. Examining the impact various relationships have had on our own lives and the lives of the artists in collaboration with us, we explore what these connections do to the trajectory of individual orbits.

If ever

If ever examines the complexities of intimacy within platonic, familial, and romantic relationships. The movement aims to delineate our human affinity for one another and the tension between the stability and instability inherent to connection. Emerging at the terminus of extreme isolation, the work comments on our tactile dependency on those around us and explores mental and emotional states within these relationships. The work, in final form, is a 30 minute culmination of vignettes portraying affection, intimacy, anger, struggle, pain, and loss. If ever is molded by musical choices, alternating between melodic classical, blues, and pop songs of the past.
